Artist's Comments

From the fanfiction story "Bonding" of my friend :iconartgrugster: that can be found here : [link]

This scene illustrates chapter 6. In an emotional outburst, Severus rushes on Alastor after he understood this later wasn't rejecting him.

Grugster really has a trick to describe emotional situations in a wonderful way.

Watercolor and photoshop finishing. I'm not really happy of how it looks, though.

Also a very lovely background.
You drew this emotional scene so well. I love this patient shirt of Seerus and how he leaned against Alastor.
Did you always imagined Alastor with a wooden leg or just because I gave him one in this story?

Yeah, the patient shirt is nice! I find the colors a bit strange, that's why I was only showing the "black and white" version until now.
Alastor has a wooden leg. And I drew it the way I've always imagined it since I first read book 4. i'm not sure what you mean by "because I gave him one in this story". He also has one in the canon version.

I meaned because of the movie version. Fist I thought he had a wooden leg like the pirates have. That only has something like a chair leg to go on. Do you know what I mean? And since I saw the movie, I imagine it like this metal thing. I would have never guessed that his wooden leg looks like a leg like in your drawing, but I loved it when I saw it the first time.

Ha OK, I see better what you mean! Well, I try as much as possible not to be influenced by the movies for my drawings. Fortunatelly I had a strong idea of how Moody should look like before the movie was out. I always imagined something bigger than the pirate thing, bigger than a chair leg! Maybe it is due to the translation in french, or to my outstanding ability to imagine something totally different from what the author means...
